The 2017 43 Begin: Varsity Runners-Up and JV Champs at South Lyon

The 2017 Novi Boys Cross Country 43 opened their season at South Lyon’s Invitational on Saturday, finishing as Runners-up behind state-contender Plymouth in a nine-team field. For the third consecutive year the Novi Men’s Cross Country Team has been crowned Academic State Champions.  The Wildcats who represented Novi at the State Finals defeated all other teams with their cumulative grade point average of 4.0!  The fastest runners on our team each carry a perfect GPA.


The Novi Boys Cross Country team was awarded 4th place at the MHSAA State Finals this past weekend.  This marks the second straight year that our ‘Cats finished in the top 4 (last year we came in 3rd).  Novi was led by John Landy.  He was followed by Scott Macpherson, Trey Mullins, Gabe Mudel, Aric


The Men’s Cross Country team was crowned the 6-1 Regional Champion after coming in first in the 16 team tournament event.  This marks the second straight year that our ‘Cats brought home the trophy.


Powered by 5 All-Conference performers, the Novi Men’s Cross Country Team cruised into a 2nd place finish in the Kensington Conference KLAA League Meet.  All 7 varsity runners broke 17 minutes, and all 7 set season personal-bests.
