The Novi Track Team may or may not have competed last Friday at the Bermuda Golden Triangle meet in Saline, where 40 degrees, heavy winds, and hours of constant rain left the competition shrouded in enigma. Is the team still hiding in a shanty? Did they mysteriously disappear? Did Gabriel Mudel emerge out of nothingness to finish as runner-up and qualify for the New Balance Outdoor National meet in the 3200 Meter Race? Did he have a tailwind all the way around the track?
Rumors abound of Nate Wood running all the way from home just to warm up for a medal-winning performance in the 800 Meters against 84 other teams’ best. Noone can confirm that Trey Mullins set a Personal Record in the 1600 Meters. Katherine Ray supposedly also ran her fastest 3200 of the season. Some people claim that Ellie Mackay jumped well over 15 feet, and that her brother Brett was never faster than today.
